The Musafirs Ride #72 – June 11 & 12 – Bhimashankar

The monsoons have begun in Maharashtra and so has the long distance touring season to Leh and Spiti – both these have something in common – BIKE BREAKDOWNS. For the benefit of every enthusiastic biker, the Musafirs announce a short BOOTCAMP ride. Chota Ride, Bada Dhamaal, Bada Gyan.

What is special about this ride? You get hands on training on basic bike repairs, so that you are never stuck stranded in the middle of a heavy downpour or when touring just because of a minor issue with the motorcycle. Learn to change your clutch and acci cables, the wheel bearings, fixing a puncture, identifying short circuits, changing fuses, packing your luggage for 2 weeks touring and much more. But it is not a riders-only ride – our pillions have even more fun as they get to delve in the beauty and enjoy the serpentine bike formations to the fullest.

The distance is just about 200 kms (So if you were waiting for a short ride to try your biking ability, now is the time). The route we take passes through the most scenic Malshej stretch and if the weather is right, we’ll be riding through the clouds. It will be an experience etched in your heads forever. Don’t wait for your friends to agree to join you… biking does not appeal to everyone and you may end up missing the smaller pleasures of life if you wait for your friends.

Riding with the Musafirs requires biking discipline and punctuality. The Musafirs is an evolved motorcycle club https://www.themusafirs.com/motorcycling-news/). Our riders demonstrate real control, discipline and temperament by riding in the designated formations at the designated speed and performing responsibilities that make the ride function like clock-work.

The Musafirs is NOT a Boyz-Only Riders Club. Female riders/pillions are welcome as our female crew member – Shona and numerous other female Musafirs would be there to keep company throughout the trip.

Inclusions: Accommodation (Multi-Sharing), Break-down Vehicle (BdV), Reflective Vests, Veg/Non-veg meals, breakfast, tutorials, parking charges, sightseeing entry charges.
