    The Shortest Ride Ever For All to Join… And Learn

    It has been quite a while since the Musafirs did a very short ride with the sole intention of Partying! To double up, with the long distance riding season beginning, this one will also be the bootcamp ride where we train motorcyclists on basic maintenance. And what better opportunity than just before motorcyclists embark on the ride to Leh, Spiti and other far-off places. 

    On 10-11 June, we are scheduled to do the shortest ride ever at barely about 120 kms from Thane to the white sand beach of Kelwa.

       BECOME A MEMBER

    Not just that… On this ride, we would train you to tackle breakdowns and perform basic maintenance so that you are never stranded anywhere despite having necessary spares… You’d gain hands on experience in changing the air/oil filter, changing oil, cleaning spark plugs, changing clutch/accelerator cables, removing tyres to fix punctures, checking for electrical short circuits, fixing a broken drive chain using chain lock etc.  Ensure that you carry your bike’s tool kit to learn… because, just like many other activities, EVEN IN THE CASE OF MOTORCYCLE REPAIRS, ‘doing’ is better than ‘watching’. 😉

    Following this session, we’ll have the ‘DissAss Wars’ where each team will race against time in dismantling and reassembling the cables and tyres of his/her bike of choice.

    Other biking related exciting competitions too would be held during the event.

    In the evening, one could unwind on the beach or simply laze around – butremember to carry your own poison.

    The lip-smacking food, homely food (veg & non veg) would be the icing on the cake. The accommodation would be either rooms (multiple sharing) or tents depending on how early you confirm your slot and fill the registration form for the ride.

    This ride would also have stories from the Bhutan ride that we just returned from. So be there and indulge with the Musafirs – a biking club that countless of us call FAMILY.

    Mumbai Chapter: Musafirs Assembly Point, PappuKaDhaba, Thane – 6:00 AM

    Pune Chapter:  Dehu Road Junction (Mumbai Side) – 5:00 AM

    The Route : 

    Mumbai and Pune – Thane – Fountain Hotel – Silver Miles (Breakfast) – U-Turn to VaraiPhata – Saphale – Kelwa

    The total distance is almost one-third of what we now-a-days call the KICK.

    Further details of the ride will be communicated through the pre-ride communication email. You’ll also be acquainted with everyone on this ride before the ride date and so share your active whatsapp phone number when you fill the ride registration form.

    Riding with the Musafirs requires biking discipline and punctuality. Our riders demonstrate real control, discipline and temperament by riding in the designated formations at the designated speed and performing responsibilities that make the ride function like clock-work.
     
    The Musafirs is NOT a Boyz-Only Riders Club. Female riders/pillions are welcome as our female crew member – Shona and numerous other female Musafirs would be there to keep company throughout the trip.
     
    We are not the conventional money-minting tour operators, biking is the only thing we do and that is what we are known for. We know our jobs pretty well, especially when it comes to group riding. If you have never been with us on any ride, go through our past rides or facebook page and you will know. Interested? Give us a buzz. We’ll be more than glad to answer all your queries and questions.

    Steps to Register for this ride:

    Booking amount: 1000/– (rest will be collected in cash on the ride). Cash on ride feature for members has been discontinued. Kindly do not request slot confirmation without transferring the booking amount.
    In case you wish to avoid making payments for the booking amount on every ride, get membership and transfer additional Rs. 1000 as a permanent refundable token at the time of making payment for the membership.
     
    Step 3 Fill in the REGISTRATION FORM
     

    While there is no last day for booking your slot (First Come, First Serve), the last date for Cancellation of booking is on or before Tuesday, 6th June 2017 (No cancellations/adjustments/ replacements /clarifications possible after this date). Registrations coming in after this date cannot be cancelled for refund or adjustment.

    We do not support/encourage drugs and are firmly against it! If you cannot resist the urge to light up a joint for ride days, you are better off riding with some other riding group.
