Musafirs Ride 205 : Road Therapy – Junnar Chapter | 6-7 June |

Before the madness of the mountains begins… before the long highways to Ladakh test our machines, our backs, and our souls… we ride to Junnar.

Two days.No drama.No rush. Just motorcycles, winding roads, and the kind of company that makes every kilometre feel lighter.

Yes… we know this summer has been brutal. The heat has been unforgiving this year. Afternoons that drain you. Traffic that cooks you inside your riding jacket. Days where even stepping outside feels like effort. But then again… riding was never supposed to be comfortable.

We ride because something about the road keeps calling us back no matter the season.We ride because engines running together somehow silence the noise in our heads. And honestly… after one good stretch of open highway, even the harsh summer feels worth tolerating.

So yes, it will be warm. Yes, hydration stops will be frequent. Yes, we’ll chase early morning roads and cooler evening winds.

But ride we shall. Because that’s what Musafirs do.

This isn’t a “tourist ride.” This is a warm-up for the season ahead. A reminder of why we ride in the first place.

The roads to Junnar have a rhythm of their own — long sweeping curves, village lanes smelling of wet earth, chai stops that stretch longer than planned, and that quiet satisfaction of watching your people fill the mirrors behind you.

And then there’s Shivneri. Standing tall above the valley like it has watched riders come and go for centuries. Strong. Silent. Timeless. The climb, the wind, the view from the top… it reminds you how small the world feels once you leave the city behind.

What to expect?

> Easy paced riding — no ego, no racing, no leaving people behind
> Breakfasts on the highway and endless tapri conversations
> Early monsoon greens slowly taking over the landscape.. (Hopefully :p)
> Golden hour photos, tired laughter, and motorcycles parked in a line like they belong there
> A relaxed overnight stay with the usual Musafirs nonsense after the engines go silent

This ride is also our little systems check before the bigger rides ahead. Check your machines. Check your riding gear. Check your spirit.

Fresh engine oil. Healthy tyres. Working brakes. Hydration packed. Rain liners ready. Documents sorted.

Because Musafirs don’t just ride motorcycles. We ride prepared.

Plan is simple:
6th June — flag off early morning, breakfast en route, scenic ride into Junnar, Shivneri exploration, sunset scenes, dinner and stories.

7th June — slow morning, chai sessions, one last look at the hills, and a relaxed ride back home before the city swallows us again.

Some rides are about destinations. This one is about reconnecting , with the road, with the machines, and with the people who somehow became family along the way.

Helmets on. Fuel up. Junnar awaits.
