DESCRIPTION:Musafirs Motorcycle Ride #74\n“Yeh toh Maharashtra mai Musoorie jaisa route hai” and the other three unanimously agreed… Last weekend\, four Musafirs were out on a recce\, exploring places for the July ride. And this Musafirs Motorcycling ride on 23rd-24th July will not just be about the destination … it will be about a beautiful journey through MANY greenery soaked mountain passes (ghats) with generous white dashes of milky waterfalls. It’ll be a motorcyclist’s delight and those who prefer to stick to 6-laned highways rarely experience this true beauty of nature. Both\, the Mumbai and pune chapters will take almost similar routes. \n  \nThe distance to Wai from our assembly through the scenic route (Mahad-Verdhana-Bhor-Maitri-Wai) is just about 250 odd kms – and it gets shorter on our return route through the NH4. DESCRIPTION:The monsoons have begun in Maharashtra and so has the long distance touring season to Leh and Spiti – both these have something in common – BIKE BREAKDOWNS. For the benefit of every enthusiastic biker\, the Musafirs announce a short BOOTCAMP ride. Chota Ride\, Bada Dhamaal\, Bada Gyan. \n  \nWhat is special about this ride? You get hands on training on basic bike repairs\, so that you are never stuck stranded in the middle of a heavy downpour or when touring just because of a minor issue with the motorcycle. Learn to change your clutch and acci cables\, the wheel bearings\, fixing a puncture\, identifying short circuits\, changing fuses\, packing your luggage for 2 weeks touring and much more. DESCRIPTION:Live the Rann of Kutch Experience on Two Wheels \nRide\, Revel\, Rann!   \nBreak away into the vast expanse of white sand that beckons the explorer in you. Many have the eagerness to visit the Rann in Gujarat but very few demonstrate the tenacity to do it on two wheels. That is what sets apart this breed of people – the Bikers! The Rann of Kutch in Gujarat has been at the epicentre of interest of the motorcycling community in recent times. This year\, the Musafirs too plan to witness the extravaganza of the Rann.  \nWe understand that it becomes difficult for working professionals to get holidays from work and hence we have created a motorcycle tour with the maximum number of attractions within a short span of time. With just 5 days leave from office\, we explore almost every known site in and around Rann of Kutch. The ancient harappan civilization ruins at Dholavira\, the last village before the Pakistan border – Lakhpat\, the expanses of white sand of rann\, the Narayan Sarovar\, Koteshwar\, Mandvi and many other places on the itinerary. How do we go about it? \nRide Dates: 5th to 12th March \nWe flag off the ride at 4:00 AM on Saturday from Fountain Hotel\, Mumbai (earlier for the Pune chapter) and ride for to reach Rapar in Gujarat by dusk. The next day we explore the 5th largest Harappan site on the sub-continent and neighbouring places of interest. \nAcross the next couple of days we visit Kala Dungar – the only place that allows a panoramic view of the Great Rann of Kutch; Lakhpath – the Indo-pakistan border village with Lakhpath fort; Narayan Sarovar and Koteshwar. \nFollowing these sites\, we ride to the Mandvi Beach and spend a day there preparing our motorcycles for the return journey. We spend the next night at Baroda and reach back to Mumbai on Saturday. DESCRIPTION:While the winters are making way for the summers  – The Musafirs are all set to Camp out and make the best of the winter winds.\nCome explore the rustic way of life before the summer sets in\, let us ride and pitch camp on the mountains of Naneghat.  \nThe location is known for being windy and cold at night. Keeping us company will be the campfire\, piping hot tea and other delicacies and the Musafirs family 🙂 \nUNLIKE our regular rides that begin very early morning\, on this ride we would assemble at 8:00 AM near Pappu Da Dhaba\, Thane (Breakfast khaa ke aana assembly pe)\, load the camping equipment and head to the destination.\nOnce we cross Kalyan\, the sceneries and atmosphere changes drastically as the canopy of trees and greenery around make the ride pleasant.  \nIt being a camp out ride\, we expect complete participation of everyone to ensure clockwork operations \,once at the destination the whole team will be divided into smaller units to Pitch tents\, make arrangements and Prepare for the campfire etc.  \nPOINT TO NOTE:\nAs mentioned THIS IS NOT A PICNIC where in you park your bike\, walk into a pre-setup tent to rest and come out of it for meals served on a silver platter. On this ride\, all of us would be inter-dependent and we need to ensure that all the tasks are performed as a team – Hence\, stick to the plan assigned. At the campsite\, please take care of all the equipment and return them to the designated spot after use rather than keeping it spread out across the camp site. \nWe follow a NO LITTER policy and hence make use of the garbage bags so that when we leave the camp site there should be no trace left behind. \nA few things to remember:\n1. Carry mat/2 bedsheets/sleeping bags.\n2. Sleep ONLY in the tent that has been assigned to you rather than inconveniencing others.\n3. There is no light source and hence carry Torch. Using the flash light of the mobile will drain the battery and since it’s a tent-out ride\, there will be NO provision to charge your phone.\n4. Tissue paper\, Hand sanitizer\, Odomos cream\n5. Carry full sleeve clothing for night.\n6. Carry spoon for eating.\n7. Carry spare tyre tube\, clutch cable for your bike. \nWhile riding\, Every Rider and Pillion Should Wear Helmet\, shoes and full denims or riding gear. Ensure that your headlight and tail light along with all indicators and the horn are working well. We use these as communication tool.\nWhile on the road\, we ride in a straight line formation while maintaining braking distance and at speeds set by the Group Pilot/Master Pilot. The hand and horn signals we adopt to communicate with our fellow riders will be told at the assembly. Just in case we happen to stop for some reason while riding\, all the bikes should stop in the same formation rather than bunching together at the front and blocking the whole road. \nReach the assembly on time and fuel up before you reach the assembly. \nWater will be provided after we reach the camp site. You’ll just need a single day off from work to enjoy this 4-day ride to unwind. \nTarkarli is a beautiful fishing village in the southern part of Maharashtra. DESCRIPTION:Musafirs Motorcycling introduces the next level of motorcycling for passionate bikers – Indulge in the pleasure of motorcycling beyond borders on a route that every biker would have dreamt of… a  route with unending number of corners and hairpin bends. \nThis December\, join The Musafirs Motorcycling\, as we ride across North Thailand on a route with more than 1800 hairpin bends that would pass through dense forest\, winding roads\, milky waterfalls and hot springs. \nMotorcycling here promises to be a surreal experience as the region of North Thailand is known for its beautiful roads\, mesmerizing landscapes\, amazing cuisine and out of the world hospitality. We also give you the option to choose the machine you want to ride when you are on this sojourn and it could range from a 250 CC motorcycle to a bigger capacity bike. What else does a biker ask for? \nThe Musafirs Motorcycling has been organizing riding weekends for over 4 years and\, with our ever growing gang of bikers\, we have done more than 55 rides to exotic locations like Leh – Ladakh\, Rann of Kutch\, Goa\, Hampi-Badami\, among many others. Our consistent persistence to bring together motorcycling enthusiasts by organizing at least 1 long distance motorcycle ride every month has earned us the tag of one of the most happening motorcycling clubs in India (courtesy: Indiatimes) \nOn this 8-day motorcycle ride of North Thailand beginning 5th December\, we would start from Chiang Mai and do the whole circuit. We take care of your Airport transfers\, bike rentals\, fuel for the entire tour\, sightseeing passes\, a vehicle to carry luggage with TAT certified guide cum driver.
