Musafirs Motorcycle Ride – Nov 13-14 , 2021 : The Boot Camp Ride.
With the winter setting in, you will feel the nip in the air while you ride along the beautiful NH222. Riding with other Musafirs along the beautiful Malshej Ghat, where the mountain curve gives you the opportunity of seeing the kilometer-long convoy in one frame, delivers a sense of pride and belonging.
This one is among the shortest rides we’ve ever planned – Just about 150 kms and if you have been thinking of riding with the Musafirs, waiting for a short one, this should be it.
Once at the accommodation you can visit the Shivneri Fort, which is a 17th-century military fortification. It is the birthplace of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the emperor, and founder of the Maratha Empire.
Another piece of history which lies just 3 km from the accommodation is – Lenyadri, which literally means “mountain cave”. It is also known as Ganesh Lena. Ganesh Pahar is a series of about 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves. The Lenyadri Caves date between the 1st and 3rd century AD and belong to the Hinayana Buddhism tradition.
This is our Boot Camp before we head to The Northeast this Dec.
What is special about this ride? You get hands-on training on basic bike repairs and maintenance, so that you are never stuck stranded in the middle of a heavy downpour or when touring just because of a minor issue with the motorcycle.
Learn to change your clutch and acci cables, the wheel bearings, fixing a puncture, learn how to identify short circuits, changing fuses, packing your luggage for 2 weeks of touring, and much much more. But it’s not a rider’s only ride – our pillions have even more fun as they get to delve into the beauty and enjoy the serpentine bike formations to the fullest.
The distance is just about 150 kms (So if you were waiting for a short ride to try your biking ability, now is the time). It will be an experience etched in your mind forever. Don’t wait for your friends to agree to join you… biking does not appeal to everyone and you may end up missing the smaller pleasures of life if you wait for your friends.

THINGS TO KNOW
Gate Pass: Aligned with our #SafetyIsSexy operating style, to join this ride, you will have to produce your “FULLY VACCINATED CERTIFICATE” In case you aren’t due for the second dose, submit the first vaccination certificate and a negative RTPCR on Thursday.
Riding with the Musafirs requires biking discipline and punctuality. The Musafirs is an evolved motorcycle club. Our riders demonstrate real control, discipline, and temperament by riding in the designated formations at the designated speed and performing responsibilities that make the ride function like clockwork.
The collective experience we’ve gained as a club over the past 10 years makes us what we are today – an ultra-disciplined bunch of bikers who watch each other’s back. And that’s what also us to orchestrate such long-distance rides. There are many “firsts” that the Musafirs introduced to the motorcycling arena in India – from hi-vis reflective vests, to pickup trucks in tow even on smaller rides, to colour-coded, designated riding formations and full-tank single-kick distances … the list goes on.
The Musafirs is NOT a Boyz-Only Riders Club. Female riders/pillions are welcome as our female crew member – Shona and numerous other female Musafirs would be there to keep company throughout the trip.
We are not the conventional money-minting tour operators, biking is the only thing we do and that is what we are known for. We know our jobs pretty well, especially when it comes to group riding. If you have never been with us on any ride, go through our past rides or Facebook page and you will know.
No Drug/No Riding Under Alcohol Influence:
We do not support/encourage drugs and are firmly against it! If you cannot resist the urge to light up a joint for ride days, you are better off riding with some other riding group. In addition, if you plan to have a drink or two anywhere outside the accommodation DO NOT RIDE there. Instead, be someone’s pillion or get a cab.

Cancellation Policy
We work on trust and good will.
In case you have to cancel your booking, do it 5 days in advance … on or before Sunday 7th Nov 2021.
We will refund the booking amount or if you say, adjust it against the fees for the next ride.
For any cancellations after this date, you’ll have to forego the booking amount because we’d already have made payments ahead. In this situation, please don’t request refunds/adjustments as we’ll not be able to do that.
Precautions: Maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, using sanitizers, and thoroughly sanitizing hands after touching any surface to avoiding contracting COVID is the participant’s responsibility. You are joining the ride on your own accord and the club cannot be held responsible or liable for anything in case of the unfortunate event of you or anyone you come in contact with post the ride, contracting the virus.
