This exact route of about 500kms along the NH3 has given us a lot of memories and learnings in the past – this route is where we actually unlocked our strategy for “long-distance riding” 10 years ago. When on the road, we’d be doing long stretches to allow you to find your rhythm and “enter the zone.” You would not want to miss this ride for sure.
The Ride Plan
We start the ride on Friday (22nd Oct), reach back on Sunday (24thOct). And it’s not a chai sutta ride … when we say we ride, we actually do …
The destination is relatively unknown and unexplored by motorcyclists from Mumbai and Pune. Mandu, or Mandavgarh, earlier known as Anand Nagari (City Of Happiness) overlooks the Malwa Plateau to the north and Narmada River to the south.
Mandu is a celebration in stone, of life and joy, a tribute to the love shared between the poet-prince Baz Bahadur and his beautiful consort, Rani Roopmati.
The Musafirswould stay at a place right in the middle of this beautiful ancient hill station that will be within 15-minute riding distance from every monument we will explore.
Highlights:
Roopmati’s Pavilion: A large fort-like monument known as Roopmati’s pavilion
JahazMahal: Situated between two artificial lakes, this two-storied architectural marvel is so named as it appears as a ship floating in water.
The TAJ Template: Hoshang Shah’s tombwas India’s first marble structure and one that served as a template and inspiration for the grand Taj Mahal of Agra.
The Great Mosque: Inspired by the great mosque of Damascus, this humongous structure is striking in both its simplicity and architectural style-with large courtyards and grand entrances.

THINGS TO KNOW
Riding with the Musafirs requires biking discipline and punctuality. The Musafirs is an evolved motorcycle club. Our riders demonstrate real control, discipline, and temperament by riding in the designated formations at the designated speed and performing responsibilities that make the ride function like clockwork.
The collective experience we’ve gained as a club over the past 10 years makes us what we are today – an ultra-disciplined bunch of bikers who watch each other’s back. And that’s what also us to orchestrate such long-distance rides. There are many “firsts” that the Musafirs introduced to the motorcycling arena in India – from hi-vis reflective vests, to pickup trucks in tow even on smaller rides, to colour-coded, designated riding formations and full-tank single-kick distances … the list goes on.
The Musafirs is NOT a Boyz-Only Riders Club. Female riders/pillions are welcome as our female crew member – Shona and numerous other female Musafirs would be there to keep company throughout the trip.
We are not the conventional money-minting tour operators, biking is the only thing we do and that is what we are known for. We know our jobs pretty well, especially when it comes to group riding. If you have never been with us on any ride, go through our past rides or Facebook page and you will know.
No Drug/No Riding Under Alcohol Influence:
We do not support/encourage drugs and are firmly against it! If you cannot resist the urge to light up a joint for ride days, you are better off riding with some other riding group. In addition, if you plan to have a drink or two anywhere outside the accommodation DO NOT RIDE there. Instead, be someone’s pillion or get a cab.

The Route :
Mumbai and Pune – Nashik – Dhule – Dhamnod – Mandu
During the ride we would be doing two relatively long, discipline-testing non-stop stretches.
It is a slightly long ride, requiring discipline and punctuality – something that is inherent to the Musafirs – and you’ll be surprised how you managed to ride the distance if you are doing it for the first time.
The club will ensure you have the support, know-how, and experienced company to ride the distance to Mandu. But if you lack riding discipline and aren’t willing to adapt, we recommend a ride to ‘Gateway of India’ – it should be a similar adventure.

Cancellation Policy
We work on trust and good will.
In case you have to cancel your booking, do it 10 days in advance … on or before Monday, 12thOct , 2021.
We will refund the entire booking amount or if you say, adjust it against the fees for the next ride.
For any cancellations after this date, you’ll have to forego the booking amount because we’d already have made payments ahead. In this situation, please don’t request refunds/adjustments as we’ll not be able to do that.
Precautions: Maintaining social distancing, wearing masks, using sanitizers and thoroughly sanitizing hands after touching any surface to avoiding contracting COVID is the participant’s responsibility. You are joining the ride on your own accord and the club cannot be held responsible or liable for anything in case of the unfortunate event of you or anyone you come in contact with post the ride, contracting the virus.
