The Club’s Big Brother Ride: Spiti 2016

Been there, done that, motorcycled through the Leh circuit? Feeling overwhelmed with a sense of achievement? Well, hardcore motorcycle enthusiasts will rate the Leh experience nothing more than just a bumpy ride in the park. A feeling you’ll relate to, only when you experience the next level.

Never Settle. Quench your thirst for motorcycling and take it up a notch!

This August, our expedition to the untamed, unpredictable Spiti Valley makes you do just that. Led by Musafir Nicc, this expedition is for those hardened motorcyclists who seek solace riding in to off-beat, non-commercial, virgin locations. This Musafirs ride to Spiti offers just that – unparalleled beauty, thrill and adventure in the Himalayas. Explore Spiti while it is virgin – before it gets so touristy that your roadside chat vendor opens up a bhelpuri stall there.

The route we chose passes through the World’s Most Trecherous Roads. The ride starts on 20^th August from Chandigarh – transport your bikes there from any part of India or just ride up all the way.  The ride ends in Manali on 30^th August (stay included). The ride begins on a Saturday and ends on a Tuesday – so just 7 days chutti from office. It is the Musafirs promise that those 10 days will be an experience like never before – etched in your memory forever – one that will make you smile even in your afterlife ride to heaven.

 

Experiences that you should expect when you ride with us to Spiti:

• > Ride through Sangla
• > Visit the Tabo monastery founded in 996 CE
• > Get mesmerized by the beauty of chandratal
• > Pass through Komic – the highest village in Asia
• > Seek blessings at Gue which houses the 500+ year old mummy of a Buddhist monk
• > Ride through the “Chhota Dhara,” a river crossing which by no means is “Chhota”
• > Pass through glaciers and ride between snow-capped peaks

And if you don’t have a bike but still want to experience it with the Musafirs, we could try and fit you in our support vehicle.

Riding with the Musafirs requires biking discipline and punctuality. The Musafirs is an evolved motorcycle club. Our riders demonstrate real control, discipline and temperament by riding in the designated formations at the designated speed and performing responsibilities that make the ride function like clock-work.

The Musafirs is NOT a Boyz-Only Riders Club. Female riders/pillions are welcome as our female crew member – Shona and numerous other female Musafirs would be there to keep company throughout the trip.

Don’t wait for your friends to agree to join you… biking does not appeal to everyone and you may end up missing the smaller pleasures of life if you wait for your friends.

 

Steps to Register for the Ride:

Step 1

Call the Crew / Coordinators on the numbers mentioned at the end to express your interest in joining the ride and check for Slot Availability. (Contact with any other person will not be regarded as Slot Confirmation)

Step 2

Transfer the Booking Amount (Non Refundable) of Rs 10,000 (members) and Rs 15,000 (Non members) to:
